Manage the facilities at the Illabo Showground
The Illabo Showgrounds are available for bookings for Weddings etc. The hall can cater for up to 250 people with kitchen available
We also have an extensive out door area suitable for large scale horse events or camping with showers and powered sites available
Lachlan Valley Railway (LVR) is not-for-profit organisation established in 1974 for the purpose of collecting, preserving and presenting the railway heritage of NSW.
Today the LVR operates a wide range of rail journeys featuring NSW’s most beloved heritage trains ranging from steam, diesel and vintage rail motors right across regional NSW.
The LVR is a not for profit society with 500 members across Australia and internationally.
During the 2018/19 financial year (LVR’s 45th year) our operations carried 10,453 customers and 18,000kms were travelled in revenue service covering about 60% of the NSW’s regional railway lines.
The LVR is always welcoming any person with rail, trade or customer service skills (if you don't have any we are still happy to get you on board!)
The Junee Ex-Services Womens Bowling Club has been in operation for more than 50 years. Bowls are held twice weekly on Tuesday's and Thursday's with twilight bowls also held on Thursday nights for both women, men and children above 12 years of age.
Members and visitors of the Junee Ex-Services Club are welcome and encouraged to play social bowls at anytime and bowls can be provided by the club.
Junee Brass Band Inc manages the Junee Town Band and the Junee Community Choir.
Junee Town Band is a community band made up of instrumentalists who live in and around Junee and get together to enjoy playing music. The band provides music for various town events each year including Australia Day, Anzac Day, Rotary Markets, the Junee Show and Christmas Carols. It also competes in the Leeton and Wagga Eisteddfods, always coming away with several prizes.
Junee Community Choir is a mixed choir (SATB), which sings a wide range of music from 14th century to the present day, in a number of languages. The choir performs with Junee Town Band for local events such as Australia Day and Christmas celebrations. It sings regularly at the Rotary Markets, and visits aged care residences in both Junee and Wagga.
Visitors are most welcome to sit in for rehearsals and performances for both band and choir.
Junee Combined Churches is a committee representing the 5 churches in Junee. We work together to minister to and support the Junee Community through SRE in our Primary schools, Open Kitchen, Good Friday Service in Memorial Park, Community Carols, HSC Prayer Breakfast, Men's Breakfast and many other activities.
